Hi, I’m Harriet—founder of Dr Watkins Essentials. With a PhD in Biochemistry and Structural Biology, my career began in academic research, where I specialised in designing treatments for complex diseases linked to hormone receptors using advanced scientific techniques.
Today, I channel that expertise into crafting sophisticated, all-natural skincare, wellness, and home products. Living with Crohns disease has heightened my awareness of the subtle yet pervasive toxins present in everyday life—often in places most people would never suspect.
At Dr Watkins Essentials, every formulation is created with intention and integrity. I work exclusively with the finest natural ingredients, including cold-pressed botanical oils, rich plant butters, and steam-distilled essential oils, to produce products that are both effective and uncompromisingly pure

Here at Dr Watkins’ Essentials I make beautiful skincare, cleaning and laundry products using the highest quality ingredients sourced from nature. They are not only good for your skin but also your well-being, they also smell great! Our products are for external use only. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding we recommend you consult you doctor before using any product containing essential oils.

What You’ll Never Find in My Products
I don’t use products containing: parabens, palm oil, horribly drying sulphates such as sodium laureth sulphate (SLS) and sodium laureth ether sulphate (SLES), silicones, anything derived from petroleum or its by-products and no artificial fragrances or colours.
Pure Goodness in Every Jar
I do use wonderfully luxurious oils, butters and beeswax laced with beneficial nutrients. The colours that you do see in my products come from the natural pigments and vitamins in the oils and butters that I use. All my fragrances come only from the highest quality essential oils, so pure that an organic label is irrelevant!

I have very dry skin and this is the best moisturiser I have used
I love these products and am very glad I found them. My favourites would be the soaps, especially Rose Geranium, that make my showers a joy and the laundry liquid that makes everything cleaner than new. I love the fragrances but most of all I love that I can trust that my skin and eyes will never react and become irritated. I am thoroughly enjoying working my way through the range and replacing my regular products with these beautiful new ones…
