Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of all natural:

I believe that nature holds the key to our health. We absorb 80% of what we put on our skin directly into our bloodstream so I aim to use the purest natural, beneficial ingredients that I can. Avoiding possible microtoxins, harmful chemicals or biproducts from chemical synthesis.

What ingredients do I select

I use only the purest most sustainable oils and butters cold pressed from the seeds, nuts or flowers from which they originate. I also make sure that all my ingredients are sustainable. For example, did you know that the income of entire villages in Ghana depends on the production and sale or Shea Butter. The Shea that I purchase comes from a collective whose mission is to help eradicate poverty through the empowerment of the rural women of Ghana. As the manufacturing process is traditional and requires only basic equipment the collective has quickly been able to improve the lives of over 1000 women in rural Ghana and more are being assisted every day.

I use the highest quality steam distilled essential oils that have been quality tested and originate from plants grown in their native environment resulting in maximal quantities of the incredible medicinal molecules contained in them.

What is Black Seed Oil?

Black cumin (Nigella sativa) is one the most revered medicinal seeds in history. The best seeds come from Egypt where they grow under almost perfect conditions in oases where they are watered until the seed pods form. Black cumin seeds were found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. Though black cumin seeds are mentioned in the Bible as well as in the words of the Prophet Mohammed, they were not carefully researched until about forty years ago. Since this time, more than 200 studies have been conducted in universities.

Black cumin has long been taken internally to help improve the condition of hair, skin and nails.  We now know that we can get a number of the same benefits by applying the oil topically.  The one that is different from other plant ingredients is the oils powerful ability to restore the natural health and vitality of skin.  Black cumin provides vitamins A, B and C, along with minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium, and zinc giving skin what it needs to recover and repair itself.  Like many oils, blackseed oil is rich in essential fatty acids that provide deep, lasting moisture for skin.  These fatty acids also help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
